The 3rd grade class enjoyed a day of exploration today in the Lewis-Clark Valley. The day began with observing waterfowl at a pond where several species over-winter. Some observed species were Wood Ducks, American Coots, and Bufflehead Ducks. The class, then, hiked in Hells Gate State Park. They got up high on a plateau for 360 degree views. The day ended with some exploration of the landscape, which included hide and seek in the tall grass!
