Hi all!

I have some fun and exciting news about the work we’ve been doing with the Conversation Partner Program at the University! Next week is International Education Week at UI, and we’ve been invited to display the memoirs we’ve been writing with our exchange student partners. Our display will be in gallery form, and include our framed writings along with an art piece we are creating to represent each interviewee’s home country.

We also took photos with our partners today. I’d like to display these alongside the memoirs to show who was involved in the writing. Please let me know if you do not want your student’s photo included with their piece.

Our gallery will be located on the 1st floor of the UI Library, and will be up from Saturday, Nov. 23rd through Sunday, Dec. 1st. If you have some extra time during the Thanksgiving break, you can visit any time the library is open (holiday schedule below) and have a look around. It will be a great way to see some of the work we’ve been doing this semester while supporting the organization we’ve been working with.

If you can’t make it over before Dec. 1st, don’t worry! You will still have an opportunity to see our gallery at our celebration of learning in mid-December. Stand by for more details about that time, date and location!
