“Blooming Culture: a story about a canoe and the confluence of cultures” will be shown this Wednesday January 30 at 7pm at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center on Main Street in Moscow. This film, directed by PPCS graduate Avery Caudill, tells the story of the 2017-18 4th grade crew who built a canoe and actively participated in the resurgence of the traditional canoe movement throughout the Pacific Northwest. Prepare to learn something new, be inspired by what kids can do, and… be inspired to make a donation at this link https://www.gofundme.com/Help-Kids-Build-Canoes to keep this project alive and help future fourth graders build canoes! See you there!

Spotlight on Parents – Thank you to our PPCS parents who have tagged prospective families in our Facebook post featuring our beautiful new Enrollment Lottery Poster! We would like to encourage all our families to share our lottery poster with prospective families through Facebook, Instagram, or emailing the above link. Helping us spread the word about Palouse Prairie is one of the most impactful ways you can help our school with fundraising. A big shout out to PPCS parent Julene Ewert for the graphic design of our poster!

Polar Walk February 6th – The Polar Walk is a Walk to School Day sponsored by Safe Routes 2 Schools. It’s called a “Polar Walk” not only because it’s chilly in February but also to help raise awareness of the environmental impact of CO2 emissions from cars and its effect on the polar ice caps and devastating effects on polar bears. A walking school bus will be leaving the Coop at 7:55. Come join the fun and help the environment!

Science Fair! The 2019 Moscow Elementary Science Fair will be held February 25-27. Sign up at http://media.msd281.org/sciencefair/ by February 2. Here is a link to the Science Fair poster.
