Warm Greetings Everyone!
My short soapbox speech of the year is the EL model of education seeks to inspire all parents, in the same way it seeks to inspire all students, to be active participants, not just passengers, in the education process. To date the Parent CREW has consisted of a small group of parents shouldering the full weight of volunteer and fundraising work but this year I have high hopes that this will change. All parents of PPCS students are Parent CREW!
It is absolutely vital for all of us to lean in and support our children’s school in whatever way we can. Without volunteers and donations the school will simply cease to function. For perspective, we will need to raise $45,000 this year just to pay the bills and keep the lights on, and if we want more than bare walls in our new school we will have to raise much more than that. Every dollar and every volunteer makes a difference in helping our children have an extraordinary school.
I know that all of you are busy, as am I, so I have done a lot of work in order to make our Parent CREW organization run more efficiently. Here is a link to a document that describes all the events, projects, etc that need volunteers for the entire school year, each with a link to a page where you can sign up,

It would make things run beautifully smooth if each of you would take the time to sit down with your calendar, go through the document, and sign up for one or even better a few things you can help with. I really don’t like having to hound all of you with emails pleading for volunteers so let’s just fill up these sign-ups. Pretty please with sugar on top!
