The PPCS Board wishes to inform you of recent significant developments in our plan to build a new school facility. Unfortunately, we found out in late June that our original building site on Sunnyside Ave. would no longer be an option for the school. The Board acted quickly to identify other potential properties suitable for a future home for Palouse Prairie Charter School. After an exhaustive search we are pleased to have settled on a beautiful piece of land with breathtaking views of Paradise Ridge and the rolling hills of the Palouse. The 3.22 acre lot is located off of Palouse River Dr. adjacent to Powers Ave. We are thrilled that not only will this new site offer us more space, but it is also adjacent to a lot designated as a future park by the City of Moscow. The best news is that we still plan to open the 2019 School year in a new school building!.
The Board has signed a purchase agreement for the land. Our next step is to obtain a Conditional Use Permit. We expect to own this great new property no later than Dec 15th. After that we can break ground as soon as we have raised the $500,000 needed to secure a building loan. The Development Committee and the Board is working hard to secure grants and major funding but we can not be successful without your help. If you have not already done so, please consider donating to our capital campaign and continue to share you enthusiasm for Palouse Prairie Charter School with your family and friends. We are so close to our dream. Imagine PPCS housed in a modern school building surrounded by green space and gardens! Please consider how you can be part of this exciting legacy for our kids.
