Cumbia is a Colombian style of music and dance that is popular throughout Latin America. This song, Cumbia Sobre El Mar (Cumbia over the sea), was composed by Colombian composer Rafael Mejía in 1962. With the help of the wonderful flutist Carlee Vigesaa, who volunteered her time to this project, we’ve interpreted this classic Cumbia using ukuleles, guitars, and percussion.
