Board Business – Are you passionate about the vision and mission of Palouse Prairie Charter School? Are you interested in supporting our school as we grow in our new space? Are you interested in shaping the future of PPCS? Do you have 6 or more hours to give each month? If so, please consider joining the Palouse Prairie Charter School Board. PPCS will be holding elections for new board members beginning May 23 at Gallery Night. Voting will be open for one week. Please contact Amy Ball at aball@palouseprairiecharterschool.org by May 17 for more information or if you would like to run.

Please Complete Our Parent Survey – One of the pieces of Idaho’s new school accountability system is a parent survey. This survey asks for your input on several topics to help measure how our schools are doing in meeting your needs. To access the survey, visit https://eprovesurveys.advanc-ed.org/surveys/#/action/105091/p58725 then pick your student’s school from the drop-down menu.  The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete and your responses are anonymous. You can submit your survey until May 17, 2019. We will use these survey responses to identify opportunities to maximize satisfaction, engagement, and communication. The state will report the results and the number of responses on Idaho’s new school report card (https://idahoschools.org/).  In addition, our Board of Directors works very hard to help support our teachers, administrative staff, and our families. In order to be responsive to parents’ needs, they need to hear from you.  Your input will also be used to help the Board evaluate our Executive Director. Thank you for participating in this survey.

Pennies for Plants and Plants for Pennies! The K-2 Crew and the Palouse Prairie Primary Landscape Committee are raising funds to help create a beautiful green space for all to enjoy at our new location. A can labeled “Pennies for Plants” is in the office to put your spare coins in. We are also collecting plants. You can donate plants and seeds for us to plant at our school. Any extra plants will be sold or donated at an end of year plant sale to raise funds for future landscape projects. You may drop coins and plants off at PPCS or email ksorenson@palouseprairieschool.org for donation pickups or more information.

PPCS Night at Jamms! On Friday, May 17 between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm enjoy some frozen yogurt at Jamms and help raise money for our school!
