B.A. double major In English (creative writing) and Spanish from Eastern Oregon University
Masters in Teaching from George Fox University
From a southern Oregon sheep farm originally, I have found a home in the Palouse and love the opportunities this area provides! This will be my fourth year in Moscow, and my ninth year teaching, and I am so excited to spend it reading, learning, and exploring with students at Palouse Prairie! My previous teaching experience includes three years teaching in Arizona on the edge of the Navajo (Diné) Nation, two years in a rural Oregon school, and three years at Pullman High School. I am passionate about finding effective and meaningful ways to teach reading and writing, and have explored implementation of workshop structures within my high school classrooms. It was this interest in project learning and workshop methods that drew me to Palouse Prairie, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to learn and grow with such a wonderful grade level.
Outside of school, I enjoy training my German Shepherd, reading, photography, learning French, and exploring different art mediums, but most of all, just being outdoors with my husband and toddler.
