We are excited to let you know more about PPSEL's All Day K Program, an application for which can be found online here:

All Day K SY14 Application

The State of Idaho only funds a half-day Kindergarten program, but a great deal of research, and our own experiences, teach us that participation in ALL DAY K programs greatly benefit students and help them be well prepared for the later primary grades, both academically as well as socially.

Our program offers eligible students:

* A small class size with personalized attention from an experienced Kindergarten teacher.
* Participation in enrichment activities that include health and fitness, music or art.
* 40-50% more time for instruction and for positive social interaction than children experience in a half- day program.
* An increased opportunity for our teachers to know each student and to tailor the learning environment to meet each student’s needs.

The All Day K program is a balance of small group, large group, and individual activities that engage children in intellectually stimulating activities while increasing each child's opportunity to learn the core curriculum.

Now that our Lottery is over, we at PPSEL are excited to welcome so many new students for the 2013-14 school year. We are pleased to announce that we have full classes for most grades and are on track for our largest enrollment ever, so thank you for your interest in our great little school.

We do, however, have a small number of open seats in some grades. Families interested in enrolling a student at the school can find a post-Lottery application form online HERE.

Applications for the coming school year will be accepted over the counter on a ‘first come, first served’ basis as per standard operating procedures. Seats will be offered to prospective students for grades with open seats and names will be added for grades with no current open seats. Again, we thank you.

Families who have students enrolled for the Fall can now fill out enrollment paperwork.

All substitute teachers must also undergo a background check through the State of Idaho Department of Education, information about which can be found online here:
